October

We took advantage of the last days of warmer weather and light before the time switch, and Kate had been asking to go fishing, so we went to waterfall park.  The kids caught a bunch of fish and we had a good time.

Julie learned how to sit up a few weeks ago!

Poor Julie has come down with one thing after another.  High fevers for days after her 6-month immunizations and flu shot, ear infection,a rash that broke out (from maybe her antibiotic?), then constipation.

I tried potty training Annie.  We've been at it for 9 days now and I quit.  We'll try again in a month.

Kate has been making a very long list of items she wants for her birthday and Christmas.

HALLOWEEN: Paw Patrol
We had fun doing our neighborhood porch crawl, trunk or treat at the church, class parties, and a fun Halloween dinner on the actual holiday itself.  We also went to Mason's last soccer game (where he scored a goal and their team won--perfect last game!) and carved pumpkins over the weekend.

A friend of ours had some pigs at her house for Halloween so we took the kids to see.

We also did the trick-or-treating at Planet Snoopy.  We have a lot of candy.

September

Kate started preschool.  Mason actually started in August, but I didn't get around to taking a "first-day-of-school" picture until September.  They both enjoy school.  I can tell that Mason is hitting the stage where it matters whether you're "cool" or not, and that makes me sad.  I wish he could stay little forever.

 These two babies :)

Julie successfully getting the army crawl down...

First haircut before and after.  She didn't like it.

Annie is still such a good big sister to Julie, her little friend.  Julie always enjoys seeing Annie, too.
I had to switch to formula for Julie, and all the guilt that comes along with that.  She wasn't gaining weight.  But she is taking a bottle well now and the kids had fun (at first) feeding her a bottle.  Julie immediately was happier overall and slept better at night.
Painting bird houses and putting bird seed in them.  (Which later turned into a huge mess.)

I took the kids to visit family in UT and ID while David went to a BYU game in DC with Mike and Bryce.  It was good to see everybody.

We got back just in time for Kate's pumpkin patch preschool trip.  We took the other two girls with us and we enjoyed a nice day outside.

Worlds of Fun during Halloween.  It's always a race to get out before it gets dark and scary!
