February and spring

Lego Land
We had no idea what to expect, and so it was a complete delight.  They had two kid rides that you could find in the middle of Disneyland, a large room full of miniature models of famous KC sites and scenes from Wizard of Oz, a movie theatre with 4 short 3D Lego movies, a playground, a build-it-yourself-car-racing area, and a special room for "master builders."

Snake parade and carnival in North Kansas City.  David was working so I took the kids by myself--lots of walking.  HUGE crowd; parking was crazy, but we got a little private spot for the parade wedged between two cars where the parade ends.

Mason's birthday!! He turned four.  We had a birthday party for him at an indoor play area in Liberty and let him invite some friends.  Huge play area + friends + ice cream/cake = happy birthday boy.  Funny story--we were at Costco and told Mason he could pick out his cake, showing him all the cool frosting with rainbows or balloons, and he ended up picking flowers.  Haha!  But it was a hit--all the kids wanted a piece of cake with a flower on it, hence my crazy cutting job.

Doing more cake later on with Mason

Hello spring!  Mason was rather sad to see all the snow melt.  But he is an all-season outdoor lover.  He'll be okay.  He has been asking if snoopy land is open yet at least 5 times a day for the past two months.

AND we tried this... Potty training . . . .

It lasted approximately 36 hours.
I think Mason enjoyed the whole ordeal more than anybody--didn't need any potty breaks during movie time.

We'll try again in a few months.
