Mostly October

October 1st: We couldn't find Kate's binky before she went to bed, and so we decided to be done with it.  We had a few rough days but all is well now.

Mason's preschool, Little Tots, at a field trip to Carolyn's Country Cousins Pumpkin Patch.  It's no Vala's in Omaha, but it was still fun.  Mason had a great time feeding the goats.  His teacher is Mrs. Bratcher and he loves her.

Going back to the pumpkin patch as a family

I was able to keep the girls entertained playing with the water in the sink for a good hour while I cooked a soup.

 Grandparents Visit

 Making Halloween gingerbread houses.

We went to the Truman Library, too.

We also went to the LDS Visitor's Center in Independence.

We took the kids on a "camping trip;" the Stake Presidency invited the secretaries and their families to come on their annual retreat.  We were told it was a lodge; I brought toilet paper and swimming suits in case there were community showers.  It turned out to be a luxury lodge for weddings and other big-deal events.  Our room was behind a hidden bookcase and down a hall.  We used our swimming suits for the indoor pool in the basement.  Annie probably slept 3 hours the whole night, and Kate was.... Kate... but we got to ride horses and canoes and had a fun time.

David went to a Chief's game with some friends at the beginning of Oct.

 Royals Game

David's brother-in-law, Jared, is a huge baseball fan and going to a World Series game has always been on his bucket list.  David had joked about getting him a ticket if the Royals ever made it to the WS... and wouldn't you know, they did it! It happened to be Jared and Stephanie's birthday in October, so we celebrated that, too.

God Bless America!

Halloween package from Grandma and Grandpa Harper--thank you!  Some neighbors were over and we just had to share the love.

Eating at Bob Evan's for dinner as a family.  It is the perfect restaurant for older people, and the food was great.  Thumbs up!

At a birthday party for a friend

Another birthday party at a cute farm.  Annie loved the chickens.

This is Annie with Rambo, a cute doggie that lives near us and is SO friendly.  Mason and Kate run outside to say hi to him every time he goes for a walk.

Halloween

They don't call us Wreck-it for nothing!

Kate and Annie before we went to Mason's preschool trunk-or-treat.
 Halloween Dinner

Pre-porch crawl picture with the neighborhood.

 I can fix it!

 The diaper baby.

AND finally, we got family pictures taken in September.  They turned out BEAUTIFUL considering I was having a bad hair day and the kids were hungry.
