We got back from our UT/FL trip and jumped right into June. I ran the Children's Mercy hospital 10k with my friend Larysa. Annie went to a birthday party for her friend Las, and we had a movie night with our friends the McHenrys.
For the rest of the month, Annie, Julie and Grant went to summer school at Liberty Oaks; Kate went to the Creative Arts Academy (and band camp) at Liberty North High School; and Mason did team workouts with the HS soccer team in the mornings and some evenings (and did a virtual PE class). It was fun to be able to hang out with Mason and have him run errands with me during the day while the other kids were at school most days.
Mason (and David) went to YM camp and Kate went to YW camp. Kate also finished up volleyball season (racing straight to her last game from camp). Kate and I had some fun while Dad & Mason were at camp; she took off a day of school and we got pedicures and smoothie bowls.
Happy Father's Day and Happy Birthday to David! We surprised him with a drone (that he had ordered from Amazon and I hid until a special occasion warranted it), exterior lights for the house, and a drum set in our newly renovated storage room.
