We kicked off July with a Royals game (with some neighbor friends), complete with fireworks; great way to enter Independence Day festivities. Our neighborhood had a great slip and slide, bbq and fireworks for the 4th. We also visited our beloved preschool teacher, Mrs Bratcher, and went swimming.
Harper Girls trip in UT! We went to the Saratoga Springs Temple open house, so many tasty food places, Newsies musical, and hiking. After the girls trip, I left Kate and Annie in Declo while I went back to KC to finish my summer class final and get the rest of the kids ready to go back out for more family time.
Cruise... might have just been the best week of my life. David and a few of his old BYU friends were turning 40 this year, so they decided to go on a cruise to celebrate. Notwithstanding getting a cold, seasick, Dramamine hit, locked out on our balcony, it was maybe the best week of my life. So much fun. The kids had a blast in UT with David's parents and cousins (Lagoon, bookstores, Cherry Hill, bowling, movie nights, they all did great). I missed them a lot but it was sooooo nice to have an adults trip. The kids made us some really nice notes for when we got back. Warmed my heart!
Declo/BEAR LAKE with the Harpers
We did a lot of hiking, swimming, boating (surfing, wakeboarding, banana boat), eating great food, and just enjoying time together before my parents leave on another mission.
